News & Qs
Disney Q&A
What is your favorite ship, and why?
We actually liked the Fantasy's layout way better than the Wish, and the shows were better.
Dream, which I would take any day over the Wish. Wish is my least favorite by far.
Favorite ship so far is the Treasure, just for theming.
The Destiny! The theming is fantastic, and it’s so fresh.
MSC Q&A
Has anyone tried the birthday cake (regular one)? Is it worth the money?
Yes, several times. I like it.
Yes. Everyone enjoyed the cake, and it’s very pretty.
Ordered the gluten-free one by mistake. It was the best one ever.
It is delicious and definitely worth it
It was nice-looking, but not good-tasting.
Ocean Cay question - I've read that Ocean Cay is ADA compliant. Is the sand compact enough to be stable, or is it soft, sinking sand?
Soft, sinking sand.
They have these wheelchairs that are super easy to maneuver.
I’m a wheelchair user. Those beach wheelchairs are not that easy to maneuver esp in soft sand. Those wheels sink in the sand and become very heavy to push.
NCL Q&A
If I carry my checked bags onboard, can I put them outside my stateroom until it's ready?
Usually, the doors to the hallways of the cabins are shut until they are ready, so you wouldn't be able to get to the cabin door.
Elevators and some spaces are very crowded during that time, so it may be difficult to bring them.
The attendants are busy going in and out of the rooms to clean and prepare them, which could be a hazard for them.
Let them take your bags. Only keep with you a small bag or backpack with essentials.
Side note: if your suitcase will not fit through a typical airport X-ray machine, you have to check it curbside before even entering the terminal.
Royal Q&A
Do the ships have steak sauce and hot sauce?
A-1 and Tabasco. If the ship has an El Loco Fresh, they'll have Cholula. There isn't anything like a Frank's on board.
New cruiser with Royal…does Royal allow you to order more than one app, entree, and dessert for no additional charge, like other cruise lines?
Yes, except the lobster. You can order extra protein or a side only if you don't want the full meal.
Please remember, the above Q&A are what cruisers have posted on social media forums. Facts, opinions, charges, policies, etc., may change. Please refer to your specific cruise line or your travel agent to receive the most up-to-date and accurate information.
